Joda's Floral Artistry is a home-based business and not a typical brick and mortar storefront. I have an associates degree in floral design/interior plantscape.
Without the overhead of paying rent or leasing a building by operating out of my home, I am more free to keep a reign on costs.
I can afford to spend more attention and detail on a perspective bride. That being said, I wish to treat every wedding as if it were my own.
Too often the wedding industry treats a wedding as a cash cow and takes advantage of the emotional nature of this monumental occasion, forcing brides to sacrifice what they've been dreaming of their whole lives.
When a Bride walks down the aisle her flowers sway with her. When someone bumps the table at a reception they shake. They're organic, flow and offer texture & color to pull it altogether in an otherwise stale environment.
This mentality needs to change desperately! I believe by working closely with a bride, her vision can truly come alive and leave her feeling appreciated, confident, and beautiful!
Making a bride's vision a reality is another story altogether. I believe in developing a close relationship with a customer and not leaving them behind in the dust which happens too often!
I'm blessed in that I have the opportunity to venture out and make my dreams a reality! In 2015 I registered for a 'doing business as' name.
I always knew I wanted to go into business after deciding on a major in College in 1998! I wasn't too keen on making funeral arrangements & red rose vases for Valentine's Day. Weddings are where the excitement is at!
Since I live in a very rural area in NW PA, skirting 2 State forests, I decided to be mobile. Folks wanting flowers came to me asking to go here & there, sometimes 2 hrs. from where I live. I can be anywhere as needed!

I work out of my home. I have a 7yr. old son & husband who keep me busy when I'm not working on a wedding! The area I live in is close to many outdoor activities, hiking, kayaking, ATV trails, biking, fly fishing, hunting, trapping, & camping just to name a few! I live on the edge of a valley where the North Fork Creek runs through. I love taking my son trout fishing down the road. Oftentimes, I cannot be reached by cell phone & won't get voicemails/texts til I get to town, especially when it's cloudy out! Please don't feel obligated to schedule a consultation.
